Imagine a a shady nook in a tranquil garden.

As a child I used to love watching my grandmother, who was born in 1893, sewing the most wonderful patchwork quilts. Grannie Rice was an exquisite needle-woman with a discerning sense of colours and patterns, who patiently hand crafted each octagonal patch from the family's discarded clothing. She encouraged me to study at Bournemouth College of Art and Design in England.
My inspiration for design comes from my childhood upbringing in the Far East, as well as my travels throughout my life. I have been influenced by everything from mosaics in mosques and temples, patterns woven in oriental carpets through to nature's own magnificent harmony of colours. This combination, together with my great love of both birds and gardens, has evolved into a hobby that I adore.
